Sunday 16th July my boyfriend and I arrived back in the UK. After our very first holiday together. It was a perfect holiday it was literally everything I wanted it to be.

We arrived into Crete on the 9th July flying from Gatwick south terminal, which was enjoyable the duty free was exciting with all different shops. I managed to pick myself up set of headphones from Skinnydip and a little card holder from Ted Baker. Kris also managed to pick up a new pair of swimming shorts from Superdry. We even had time to have some pancakes for breakfast before going to the departure lounge.

Once we arrived at our hotel which was the TUI Sensatori Resort by Atlantica (all inclusive) we quickly got off the coach and went straight into reception were we were given a nice could glass of sparking wine and we checked in straight away. We chilled in our apartment for a little while as the staff made it clear it was their policy to delivery our suitcases to our room. Which is great but on this occasion Kris got his suitcase first and when we asked for my suitcase the hotel staff looked very confused and said there was only one suitcase for this room. So Kris and I had to wait for my suitcase to be searched for which only took about 15 and my suitcase arrived at my room which you can imagine I was very happy to receive my belongings.

It was a very chilled holiday mostly spent by the pool or the beach. We sometimes walked around the little town. We went on a day trip (which was good and bad) and the evenings were spent having lovely dinners together and having drinks up on the hotel terrace.

This was the first time either my boyfriend or myself have ever been to a five star hotel and it was literally amazing. The food was rather fancy although this wasn't great for Kris or I because we are both such plain eaters. So it was a lot off bread, chips and pasta... filling food. There was a choice of seven restaurants but there was so many people staying in this hotel they were mainly fully booked so most nights we stuck to the buffet which had more choice anyway. There was a night we went to a restaurant which was outside near the swimming pools and it was so cute how the tables were laid out and how Greek it all looked.

The hotel staff were all so friendly and happy and they literally could not do enough to help you. The days we were relaxing by the pool we literally did not have to move to get a drink as every 15 minutes the hotel staff were coming round to see what we would like the drink. Even sitting on the terrace in the evenings the staff kept coming round offering you more drinks so you could literally spend your time relaxing and being waited on hand and foot (seriously what more could you ask for?)

The rooms were lovely and big, the hotel staff always changed our bed daily, topped up our mini fridge (which was included in the all inclusive) and they kept our room spotless. Also we often came back to a surprise which included: sweets on our bed, little lavender smelling pads to put under our pillows to help us sleep and a pillow case with a quote (very cute).

The day trip I mentioned above, we went to a rescue centre for monkeys which the were loose in this area and you could walk round in a big group get close to the monkeys and feed them. I didn't really want to go to the rescue centre but I had to go before I could get to the actual place I wanted too. When it was our groups turn to go in with the monkeys it went fine at first but a lady in front of me was just casually walking doing nothing wrong when a monkey jumped at her and gave her such a scratch it ripped some skin on her arm and the cut was deep after that happened I got so scared and said to Kris we need to leave straight away which we did and we just got a drink and chilled far away from the monkeys as possible. After that we got back onto the coach and went to a town called Aigos Nikolaos, this was such a beautiful town with a lovely harbour some fancy shops and some nice little outside restaurants we wasn't there for long but we definitely had a nice little afternoon. The coach back to the hotel was the worst because it was a double decker coach and we sat on the top floor and I am really not convinced the air con worked so it was just the most longest and uncomfortable coach journey ever.

That was the only day trip we went on as it was more of a relaxing holiday. On the last night we did do a photo shoot which was done on the resort and on the beach. It was so cute and I loved doing the photo shoot with Kris he made it such a funny time.

The we arrived back into England at 5:30pm. Scroll down to see some photos from our time in Crete

xoxo
